1. The Kidder service
Kidder consists of a Parent App, connected child-device software, supporting online services, and related website, support, privacy, and security resources. Features can include family profiles, device pairing, Screen Time, rules, routines, location, Safe Places, Internet Safety, Content Safety, notifications, and device-health information.
Feature availability can depend on device compatibility, Android version, permissions, network access, account status, and the selected service level.
2. Parent account holder and authority
The Parent App is intended for a Parent or guardian who is 18 or older. Kidder is intended for global availability, but service availability and legal requirements may vary by jurisdiction.
By enrolling a Child device, the account holder must have lawful authority over the account, device, and family setup and must provide any notice or authorization required by applicable law. Kidder must not be installed secretly or used to monitor a device the account holder is not authorized to manage.
3. Account security
- Provide accurate account and family setup information.
- Keep passwords, verification codes, Parent PINs, and sessions confidential.
- Use only official or approved Kidder installation and pairing paths.
- Review connected devices and sessions and report suspected unauthorized access through a verified channel.
- Do not share unnecessary child information in general support communications.
4. Parent App and Child App relationship
The Parent App and Child App are separate Android applications. The Parent App manages the family account and displays information. The Child App uses sensitive Android capabilities on an enrolled device for selected protection features.
The account holder should review each Child App explanation before enabling Accessibility, VPN, UsageStats, location, overlay, Device Admin, foreground services, or other special access. Disabling access can reduce or stop related functionality.
5. Acceptable use
Use Kidder only for legitimate family digital-safety and account-management purposes.
- Do not enroll or monitor a device without authority.
- Do not use Kidder for stalking, coercion, unlawful surveillance, harassment, discrimination, or exploitation.
- Do not bypass security, probe accounts without permission, interfere with service operation, or distribute malicious code.
- Do not submit unlawful content or use safety information to cause harm.
- Do not misrepresent identity, guardian authority, purchase status, or device ownership.
6. Service limitations
Kidder provides family-management information and controls; it is not an emergency service and cannot guarantee that harmful content, unsafe conduct, device tampering, network loss, location error, delayed notification, or third-party failure will always be detected or prevented.
Location can be delayed, inaccurate, unavailable, or based on the last known Child-device update. Web and Content Safety classifications can contain false positives or false negatives. Parents should use context and judgment rather than treating automated results as definitive.
7. Third-party services
Authentication, messaging, mapping, geocoding, device operating systems, app stores, DNS, hosting, and communication providers can affect Kidder. Their services and terms are outside Kidder’s direct control. Final terms must identify applicable provider relationships without shifting non-waivable consumer obligations.
8. Subscriptions and purchases
Paid subscriptions are not currently available for purchase through the Kidder Parent App or website. Displayed plan prices are informational and do not activate a subscription or charge a user.
Before any paid subscription becomes available, the purchase screen will need to state the price, currency, duration, renewal behavior, trial terms if any, taxes, cancellation method, refund route, and when access ends. The Subscription, Cancellation & Refund Policy provides the current status.
9. Suspension, termination, and deletion
Kidder may need to restrict access to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or address material breach. Final suspension and termination standards, notices, appeal opportunities, and consumer-law safeguards remain subject to legal approval.
Complete Parent account deletion is not currently presented as a verified live capability. The Data Deletion page explains the intended scope, limited retention categories, and current request-channel limitations.
10. Intellectual property and feedback
Kidder software, design, branding, and service materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property rules. These terms do not transfer ownership beyond the limited right needed to use the service. Treatment of feedback, open-source notices, and user-uploaded content remains subject to final legal approval.
11. Disclaimers and liability
Any warranty disclaimer or limitation of liability must be tailored to applicable jurisdictions and cannot exclude rights or remedies that law does not permit Kidder to exclude. No monetary cap, indemnity, arbitration term, class-action waiver, or governing-law clause is currently established.
12. Changes, support, and contracting details
Material changes to the service or these terms will be communicated through an appropriate notice. The legal operator is identified at the start of this document. No public physical address is currently published. Governing law and the dispute forum remain subject to legal approval.
